Date Night In Winter

Happy Monday! I am already getting myself together to go home to Miami for the Thanksgiving holiday, but before here is something that I have learned since living in New York. Now every girl wants to look cute on date night and winter and cold weather is no exception. Just because it is cold outside doesn’t mean that you have to wear a cashmere sweater out. My go to for any date night outfit is all black. This is always my go to for two main reason… 1 its easy to match with everything and 2 black is super slimming. Black is also one of the few colors that especially during winter if you are wearing all black no one will judge you or say you look gothic because of your attire. It is completely normal during winter in New York City to be seen wearing all black at all times. I know that I do the majority of the time.

The easiest way to create a great date night look and still be warm is by layering. I love this sheer top from Zara I got last year that I wear over a black body suit because even though it is sheer it surprisingly keeps me warm when I go out. Yes, I of course wear a jacket as well with this outfit, but I wanted you all to be able to see the beauty of this top.

Another thing that I have learned from living in New York City during winter is that restaurants and bars will have the heat on so despite the fact it may be freezing outside that doesn’t mean it will be cold inside as well especially at bars. This is something I learned the hard way my first year living here and I walked out of a bar without my jacket on and stood outside because I was so hot inside and needed to cool off in the frigid cold.
