Hey guys! Today is the day the day of “The Big Dance” as my dad used to call it. I am talking about March Madness!!! Growing up I played basketball until I was 16 years old and it is my favorite sport to watch. Whether is be college or professional I enjoy watching the game, but being a girl and going to games when I was younger there was always a lack of female gear for sports teams. Thankfully in the past decade designers and teams have realized this as well and have come up with appropriate gear for all genders. I personally don’t wear items that are too girly with all the glitter and bedazzled gems I just simply dress for comfort. I am not one of those girls you see at sporting events that walk in with high heels on and look like they are going to go out to a club afterwards. I always stick to my basics. I wear a shirt that is either my teams colors or a team shirt like this University of Arizona vintage t-shirt. I then pair it with either a pair of leggings or comfortable jeans like these Frame Denim ones. Then depending on the weather and where I am that will determine my shoe choice. Since I am in New York City for tonight’s game where University of Arizona will play North Dakota I will be wearing these short brown booties from Vince Camuto that I got the year I moved to New York City. I am only wearing these booties because I don’t plan on walking very far to watch the game, but if plans change then I will opt to wear knee high boots in order to deal with the snow that is still piled up on the sidewalks right now. The knee high boots that I always love to wear are from Steve Madden. Every time I wear them I am always asked who makes them and people are shocked that they are Steve Madden. They make similar pairs still to this day, but they were a still back in 2011 for only a mere $100. Hope everyone has their brackets ready because March Madness is finally here. Oh and one more thing #BEARDOWN!
The Tall Ugg Boot
Happy Monday! Well it’s finally time to break out those winter boots from your closet. Now even though some of us won’t admit it but we all have more than one pair of Ugg boots in our closet. Even growing up in Miami I had a few too many pairs, but now living in New York City you need them! Especially for this cold weather that we are having. This winter if you haven’t purchased a new pair of Uggs recently I think it’s time for you to go out and get a fresh pair. These tall Ugg boots are knee high and like all my other pairs of Uggs are so warm and cozy. These are great with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans. I like how they fit around my leg almost like they are a glove to them. I know sometimes at least for me after some wear the Ugg boots don’t fit as snug around your leg, but these I have had for over a year and they still fit just as snug as the first day I wore them. Don’t forget as with all Uggs except the new weatherproof pair they have come out with they do need to be weather proofed with the Ugg boot spray. I know some people don’t see the need in buying the spray, but I am here to tell you that is well worth your money. You will be wearing these boots all winter long and you want to make sure they stay in great shape. Unlike the traditional Uggs these pair have a stitched in design which for me I think personally makes my legs look longer than they actually are. These boots are currently on sale on the Ugg website and you should grab a pair before they are gone! I personally have them in both black and brown and you all should too <3

These Boots are Made for Walking: Cowboy Boots
The elusive cowboy boot.. every girl wants a pair, but they are just so hard to find! These Frye cowboy booties, I have been eyeing for over two years now and finally I can say that they are all mine. I waited each year for them to go on sale, but as many of you shoe lovers out there know, Frye boots rarely go on sale. Especially, the ones that are the best sellers from season to season, but I found a site that had them on sale called 6pm.com. 6pm.com is a discounted shoe website that sells all different brands at a fraction of the cost! My friend Danielle and I bith have very dmall feet and I learned another tip from her. I am a 6.5 in women’s but in some shoe brands I fit into a 6. So, Danielle, went into a store and purchased the largest size in the kids Frye boots! If you get the largest size or next to largest size in the Frye kids boots they normally fit a women’s shoe size 6 – 6.5! Who knew that this was even possible and the bonus is they end up being cheaper because they are the kids version. I have noticed this same pattern with a lot of other brands where if you buy the largest size in the kids’ version it normally fits a small petite female. It is the same product just the kids’ size and at the end of the day no one is looking at what size your item is, they are simply looking at the actual product. Small tip: make sure to Just double check everything before you purchase because in some brands I take a different kids size when it comes to the item. In the end, you go with the product you wanted and you saved a little bit of money. I consider that a win-win situation don’t you?
