Happy Friday or as we all know it to be called…BLACK FRIDAY! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday and ate too much turkey. I know that I am still full this morning when I woke up. For me I personally do not shop on Black Friday in the stores. I am more of a cyber Monday kind of girl, but there are some great sales today in a bunch of stores. According to Forbes.com some of the best deals today are from Amazon, Apple, Best Buy, Target and Walmart. Some of the “star buys” as Forbes calls them are HDTV’s, but there is something that everyone seems to forget. Just because the TV may be a great deal doesn’t mean the model is a good model. Before purchasing any TV today do you research before buying. I say do this with any electronic today because a lot of great brands will significantly lower the prices on models that aren’t necessarily the best ones in their line up. Check it out before you buy. Other “star buys” include sony playstation, xbox 1, apple Iphone 7, apple watch series 1 and the amazon fire kids edition. They also list deals that they say “treat with caution”. This is because even though these may look like deals to us because of the advertising and everything they really aren’t deals. For example a lot of retailers are saying the Apple watch series 2 is only $369, but that is actually the standard retail price. Another one is the Ipad Pro at target is $150.99 off vs $125 off at Best Buy. Even the google chromecast is only $25, but Forbes suggest you can find it cheaper in the off season. All I can say is this if you are unsure if you are getting a good deal do your research. For me I always check if the item is returnable if it is then I purchase it and then if I find it cheaper I buy the cheaper model then return the other one I paid more for. Sometimes retailers won’t let you return and say it is final sale so if that is the case and you are unsure then don’t purchase it. Unless you really need it for something specific or just in general then tread lightly. Hope you all have a great Friday and happy shopping to everyone. Stay safe! Mall parking lots get crazy today<3
Steals & Deals: Halloween
Happy Friday everyone! We all know what that means: It’s time for some steals & deals but this week, halloween style! Right now if you go to party city online and order any costume they are up to 80% off! They have done this in the past and yes they do get you on the shipping because who doesn’t want their costume on time? BUT I have heard people that have gone into the store and they show the online price and if you get a really nice in store employee they will match the online price! Another great place to get a cheap halloween costume is Target! Yes, Target! One of my friends went to Target and got footie adult pajamas and because it wasn’t considered a halloween costume it was a fairly good price and they had a ton of sizes left for her. For me, every time I go halloween shopping I never seem to find a costume in my size since by the time I figure out what I want to be there is nothing left. Another great place to look for costumes is on Amazon. If you are a prime member this is the day to use it and get it by Monday for halloween. If you are like me and live in the city, check Prime Now. Since there is a warehouse right outside the city I am sure they have a lot of inventory on hand for the holiday. Can’t wait to see what everyone dresses up as. Check out these links below for some great costumes:

Fitness Tuesday: Yoga
In high school, I was required to take 2 credits worth of physical education and unlike other schools, if you played a sport that counted towards your credit, and on top of that we had options for PE that were at the time trend setting. One of the classes that was offered at my high school was yoga. Yes, yoga! Ever since then I have enjoyed taken the occasional Yoga class when I really need time to relax and stretch out my muscles. I have scoliosis and wore a back brace for 5 years and my doctor said that yoga was a great form of exercise to help with back problems. If you have never done yoga before make sure you tell the studio where you are going that it is your first time. This is very important because there are different levels of yoga. Also you do not want to go to a studio that only offers hot yoga. Hot yoga is very intense and that is not something you want to do for your first class. I learned this from friends experiences. Even though I did gymnastics the majority of my life and I am pretty flexible, the first time I did yoga I still had a difficult time doing some of the poses. Do not be embarrassed or anything because I still do to this day have difficulty doing some of the poses that they have shown me in class. Most studios provide their own mats for yoga, but ask when you call the studio before going. If you are looking to purchase a yoga mat I got a great one for myself at Target and I even use it in my apartment when I am just doing some ab work outs on my floor so that I have a softer surface to lay on. Here are some great ones on Target’s website. If you don’t have to bring your own mat I suggest you bring a hand towel. Unlike a lot of the exercise studios some don’t provide towels for you and if you are like me you do sweat in these classes so it’s nice to have your own clean towel. Hope you all now go and try your first yoga class because it is amazing and super relaxing.
My Beauty Routine with Noxzema Facewash
The skin on your face is the first thing that everyone sees and you need to take extra special care of it. I do the traditional facial once every 6 weeks, but in between then I always make sure to take great care of my skin. With working out so much, I have had to change up a lot of my skincare routine to take into consideration of how much perspiration my body was releasing. I asked my mom what she uses because- I won’t tell you her age- but her skin is FLAWLESS! She told me to go to the store and see if they had any Noxzema products. I went to CVS and found that they had a daily scrub and a night time crème face wash. I purchased both of them thinking I would use the scrub every morning after I work out and the night time crème wash at night. My facialist started to notice a change in my skin for the better and she asked me what products I was using. When I told her Noxzema she smiled and said “your mom told you to use that didn’t she?” I said “yes how did you know?” She told me that Noxzema products had been around for years and that a lot of women older than me use them. She said they are amazing products and to continue to use them. She was surprised that someone as young as me was using them already. One of my favorites things is to take the nighttime crème and make a mask on my face. It doesn’t say that is meant to be used as a mask but I have been using cotton pads and make a thick layer over my entire face. Then I let it dry and you will notice that it does dissolve a lot on your skin so it looks like it is even on your face. After about 10 minutes I take a warm wash cloth and I wipe it off my face. My skin feels moisturized and so soft after this, its amazing! If you haven’t tried any of their products yet go to the store now and pick up some and try it out for yourself.

Coachella 2016
This weekend marks the start of the infamous music festival: Coachella! Going to school in Arizona a lot of my friends would go because it was an easy drive there, but sadly I was always too late to get a ticket to it. When it comes to music festival attire the thing that is most important is longevity. A few years ago, I went to Gov Ball on Randall’s island and I knew I was going to be out there all day, but I didn’t expect that it was going to be as hot as it was. Remember: whatever you need you will have to carry with you all day at these music festivals and the merchandise they are also selling on site are obviously marked up tremendously. So it is better to be prepared. First off, wear sneakers because the last thing you want is to come home after a day of wearing sandals or open toe shoes to have your feet be covered with dirt. Secondly, bring something to sit on when you are there, whether it be a little towel or a jacket that you don’t care about, because there are no seats anywhere at these events. Thirdly, bring something for the night time whether it be a scarf or jacket because one thing that nobody tells you is when night falls at these music festivals, it gets chilly. Obviously you don’t want to be wearing a long sleeve shirt all day, but you also don’t want to freeze during the night time. A lightweight scarf is the best go to thing to have because it can be folded up in your purse or backpack and not take up as much space as a jacket. Last but not least, you have to keep hydrated! A lot of these music festivals have free water bottle filling stations and you should use these as much as possible. Bring a refillable water bottle with you and even when you aren’t thirsty just keep drinking. The last thing you want is to get heat stroke or be dehydrated. Have a great time Coachella go-ers stay safe and make sure to cover up with some sunscreen!
